The breathing valve is a device for sealing a vertical steel tank and capturing light fractions of hydrocarbons as a result of the recovery of a steam-gas mixture. <\/span>Since as a result of pumping and emptying (i.e. large breathing) or thermal expansion of the liquid (i.e. small breathing) there are forces capable of destroying the tank, it is necessary to maintain atmospheric pressure in it. However, the use of open tanks will lead to a high loss of light oil fractions and environmental impact on the internal space of the tank.
