Positive displacement flow meter repair service by Gerkon — restoring accuracy and operational life of fuel dispenser meters and tanker loading meters. Covers all major brands including ShZhU and VZhU (Soviet/CIS legacy meters still in service across Eastern Europe), Bennett SB/T-series, Tatsuno BMP and MQF, FAS SX-series, Bonomi, Adast, Wayne, Tokheim, and most other historical and current PD meter designs.
Why repair instead of replace?
Positive displacement (PD) flow meters in fuel dispensers cost €800–€2,500 new (depending on flow rate and brand). Workshop overhaul typically restores them to as-new accuracy at 15–30% of replacement cost, with a 12-month warranty matching new-unit terms. For older but well-built meters (Bennett SB-100, Tatsuno BMP-405), a properly overhauled meter has another 8–12 years of service life ahead — full replacement rarely makes economic sense.

Workshop overhaul (recommended)
Meter shipped to Gerkon workshop in Zaporizhzhia. Full strip-down, clean, inspect, re-machine worn surfaces, replace consumables, reassemble, run-in test, calibrate to ±0.5%. Turnaround time: 5–10 working days from receipt. Post-repair calibration certificate (UkrMetrTestStandard Module F equivalent) included. Re-shipment to your address by carrier of choice. Best for non-urgent repairs and when meter can be removed from service.
On-site repair (EU mainland)
Engineer dispatched from regional service partner network covering Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Baltic states. Diagnose on-site; perform repairs that don't require workshop equipment (seal replacement, calibration adjustment, pulse encoder swap). For repairs requiring workshop facilities, meter is removed and shipped to Zaporizhzhia. Engineer return visit for re-installation included. Typical response: 3–5 working days in Central Europe; up to 10 days for outlying regions.
Mail-in calibration only
For meters that operate correctly but show calibration drift (typical after 12+ months of service), we offer calibration-only service: receive meter, run accuracy test, adjust if needed, issue calibration certificate, return. Turnaround: 3–5 working days. No mechanical disassembly — fastest option.

From meter receipt to dispatch back: 5–10 working days for standard PD meters. Calibration-only is faster (3–5 days). Complex restorations of damaged Soviet-era meters can take 2–3 weeks if custom machining is required.
Do you accept meters from other brands not listed?
Almost certainly yes — in 30 years we've worked on over 200 distinct PD meter models. Send us photographs of the nameplate and any visible damage; we'll confirm within 24 hours whether we can service it and provide a quote.
What about EU shipping/customs for the meter?
For workshop repair, you arrange shipping to our Zaporizhzhia address (we'll provide the address and customs declaration template). Repaired meter is returned via your nominated carrier (DHL, DSV, Raben, etc.) with EUR.1 movement certificate and CMR documentation prepared by us. Typical round-trip transit time within EU: 5–10 working days.
Is the post-repair calibration certificate valid in EU?
Yes for receipt verification by your local NMI. The Ukrainian National Metrology Institute is a CIPM MRA signatory; calibration certificates carry international traceability recognised under the BIPM framework. For use as a legal billing meter inside an EU member state, the local NMI may add their own re-verification stamp — typically a fast paperwork procedure rather than full re-calibration.

SHIPPING INFORMATION FOR UKRAINE
Our company is committed to fast shipping and delivery throughout Ukraine. We work with carriers that offer the best balance of price and quality, including:
NOVA POSHTA
1-3 days. Delivery speed depends on your location. After placing your order and payment, we ship the same day or the next.
SAT
Delivery time 3-5 days. Speed depends on the distance between sender and recipient. This is the most economical option compared to Nova Poshta.
DELIVERY
Shipping takes 4-7 days. This is the slowest method, but its advantage is the low cost.
FREIGHT POOLING
Shipping is done via shared transport through a dispatcher. Finding a vehicle takes 1-2 days; speed depends on the destination (major cities are faster, remote villages slower). This method is cheaper than the carriers listed above.
We work throughout Ukraine, and on request can arrange delivery via another courier service not on our list.

PAYMENT METHODS
After placing an order for a selected product in our store, we verify stock availability and confirm with you. Payment can then be made using one of the following methods:
- Bank transfer to the company account (VAT included).
- Cash on delivery (payment upon receipt).
Before paying via bank transfer, please contact us to confirm product availability.
Cash on delivery is processed at the carrier's warehouse. The service fee is 2% of the total + 15 UAH for payment processing. For an order of 1000 UAH you will pay 35 UAH for this service plus the shipping cost.
The second method is more reliable as you can inspect the goods on the spot, but it is also more expensive, so before paying you may want to consider which method suits you best.
If payment is received by 12:00, we ship the same day; if payment arrives later, shipping is processed the next day.
