MT1-1000Gr is a 1000-litre working standard test measure (also called field standard prover) manufactured by Gerkon for commercial fuel accounting at oil depots, bulk terminals, tanker loading bays and refinery dispatch areas. Built to accuracy class 1 per OIML R 120 with ±0.05% volumetric tolerance — twice the precision of class 2 reference provers, suitable for high-value custody transfer verification.

Why a class 1 measure (vs class 2)
Class 1 working standards have half the tolerance of class 2 reference provers. For everyday retail dispenser verification, class 2 is sufficient (and cheaper). But for custody-transfer applications — where individual transactions can exceed €100,000 — the meter under test must itself be ±0.1% or better, which means the standard verifying it needs to be at least ±0.05%. That is where MT1 class 1 measures are required by national metrology authorities.

Construction details
The 1000 L body is fabricated from AISI 304 stainless steel, fully welded, mirror-polished internally to minimise drain residue. The precision sight tube has a vernier scale with 0.025% reading resolution — required for class 1 accuracy. A heavy-duty bottom diffuser handles inlet flows up to 800 L/min, allowing fast verification cycles for high-flow loading meters. The drain valve is sized for under-16-second emptying, supporting repeat cycles during meter proving runs.

What is the difference between MT1 (class 1) and M2r (class 2)?
MT1 has ±0.05% tolerance vs M2r ±0.1% — exactly twice as accurate. MT1 is required for custody-transfer meter calibration where the meter itself must achieve ±0.1% accuracy. M2r is sufficient for retail dispenser verification where the dispenser specification is ±0.5%.
Can MT1 be used for retail dispenser verification?
Yes — class 1 standards are always acceptable for verification of lower-class instruments. But the cost premium over M2r class 2 is usually not justified unless you also do custody-transfer work.
Is the 1000 L size suitable for tanker loading?
Yes — 1000 L is at the upper end of single-batch tanker meter verification. For very high-flow rack meters (over 1500 L/min) two MT1-1000 units can be used in parallel, or contact us about the MT1-2000 size.
How is the prover stored between uses?
After draining, the unit should be stored vertically with the drain valve open in a clean, dry area. AISI 304 will not rust internally if drained thoroughly. For storage longer than 1 month, wipe down internal surfaces with a fuel-compatible solvent.

FREIGHT POOLING
Shipping is done via shared transport through a dispatcher. Finding a vehicle takes 1-2 days; speed depends on the destination (major cities are faster, remote villages slower). This method is cheaper than the carriers listed above.
We work throughout Ukraine, and on request can arrange delivery via another courier service not on our list.

Cash on delivery is processed at the carrier's warehouse. The service fee is 2% of the total + 15 UAH for payment processing. For an order of 1000 UAH you will pay 35 UAH for this service plus the shipping cost.
The second method is more reliable as you can inspect the goods on the spot, but it is also more expensive, so before paying you may want to consider which method suits you best.
